Homewise has worked in its surrounding community since 1986 to create successful homeowners and strengthen neighborhoods. With the support of NFHA, Homewise provides down payment assistance and homebuyer counseling to make homeownership accessible and affordable to New Mexico families like Suan’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the aid of homebuyer counseling and downpayment assistance, Suan was able to purchase her first home. Her house is just a block away from her sister, and she is making plans to invite her mother and nieces to live with her so that the family can all be together. Suan’s journey is a testament to the power of community and the transformative effects of removing obstacles so that individuals like Suan and so many others can secure not just a house, but a place to plant roots, create memories, and build a secure future. <\/p>\n\n\n
