This session builds on the first two sessions by providing a deep dive on geographic and residential preferences. Participants will have a chance to learn and ask questions about the fair housing implications of preference strategies that can mitigate gentrification and displacement and ensure housing stability and wealth building opportunities for long-time existing residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"content-wrap-item post__paragraph\">Habitat for Humanity International\u2019s Advancing Black Homeownership initiative was launched in June 2022 as part of Habitat\u2019s formal commitment to working to eliminate the racial homeownership gap. The Black homeownership rate in the US is the lowest of any racial group as a result of decades of discriminatory housing policies.
