The letter makes clear that the nominees must commit to making fair lending a top priority and must have the knowledge and experience to direct their agencies\u2019 fair lending oversight and enforcement efforts effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"content-wrap-item post__paragraph\">\u201cWe are particularly concerned about enforcement of the Fair Housing Act and other fair lending laws, given the persistent Black\/White homeownership and wealth gaps, which has implications for fairness, equity, and the economy as a whole,\u201d said\u00a0<strong>Lisa Rice, President and CEO of<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA).<\/strong>\u00a0In a recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcwashington.com\/news\/local\/inequality-in-america\/inequality-in-america-advocates-push-roadmap-for-fair-housing-combating-redlining\/2881578\/\"><strong>TV interview<\/strong><\/a>, Ms. Rice also noted: \u201cWe have a bevy of fair lending laws. The problem is they haven\u2019t been effectively enforced\u2026.
